Thunder/Revelations
I visited a 3 year old OTTB this am. He is a gelding that was claimed off the track in July 2010. After workup and xr's he was found to have an old fracture of rt knee. No telling how long he had raced on this. The owner will not put further money into him and Thunder will be put down if a new home isn't found by the e...nd of the month. The trainer has been trying to find a home without success. He has a great pedigree but will come without papers to ensure he doesn't race again. I handled him this morning and he is a sweetheart. Very good mannered, youthful personality. He looks like he hasn't grown into his body yet. He is around 16.2 or 3, good feet. Very, very sweet. The vet predicts he will make a great riding horse for the lucky one to adopt him. He is a bit head shy, the trainer believes he has been roughly handled from previous owner. Please help us find him a home.
UPDATE: Thunder will soon be transported to his new home at the Autumn ReRide Youth Ranch in Arkansas. It has been our great blessing to be of help to these horses needing new homes! Thank you Rebecca Christians for giving Thunder a new home.
UPDATE: Thunder made it to Autumn ReRide Youth Ranch safely and now has a new name. Revelations! The fund raiser to help transport Revelations was a total success! $363.00 was raised! Thank you to all who donated!
