Danni
Danni is a 32 year old Arabian Cross who is partially blind. She lost her right eye from an infection. Her owner had health problems and could no longer keep her or their other horse. They found a home for the other horse but were not able to find one for Danni.
One of their friends posted her on Alex Brown, she had about a week to find her a home. She was moved to St Joseph, MI where she was going to stay for about a month until her new owner picked her up, but the new home fell through. So, she had to stay there! Danni was boarded at a local farm.
The people there just loved her, she is very easy going, gentle, but does tend to panic when people approach her from her blind side. Although they miss her, they did feel that it would be in Danni's best interest to move to Kentucky. Last winter was very hard on her and because of her age and partial blindness she was quite often bullied by the other horses. Danni was originally in Michigan but was later moved to Kentucky to her new home where SCERAS is based.
